As a family, we believe this project is a way to say thank you to the people who’ve had an impact on our lives. We love the idea of writing letters—each of us can get lost in a good book for hours, and we all appreciate the power of words and stories.
Travel and exploring the world is something we all enjoy. We’ve all had the chance to explore different places, and those experiences have shaped how we see the world and connect with others.

Most importantly, we all try to think about how others feel and what they’ve been through. We each do this in our own way, but we all value understanding other people's experiences. This project is our way of showing gratitude for those who’ve made a difference in our lives.
At 16, Luna is passionate about exploring big ideas—especially in psychology, where she’s drawn to questions about how people think, feel, and change. She's graduating early while earning an associate degree in psychology, and she recently gave a TEDx talk called “What if the Villains in Your Life Could Be Heroes Too?” Luna loves digging into books, traveling, and noticing the little things that reveal something deeper about the world. She sees the world as an ever-evolving landscape—one that isn't shaped by fate, but by those bold enough to imagine something more and disciplined enough to bring it to life.

Nico, 14, has a passion for chess, music, and reading. He can solve a Rubik’s Cube in just 15 seconds (no, really!), and when he’s not thinking several moves ahead in a game, he’s probably playing piano, singing, or hitting the soccer field. Nico has always been the kind of person who thinks outside the box and loves exploring new ways to express himself, especially through music.
Lucas, 10, is all about nature. From animals to the great outdoors, he’s fascinated by everything in the natural world. Whether he’s running around playing soccer or scootering around, he’s always on the move, soaking in life around him. He loves asking questions about how things work and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty while learning about the world.

Carrie, the mom, believes everyone has something special to offer. From a young age, she was drawn to life’s big questions and took an unconventional path—studying how thoughts shape reality and how culture influences who we become. After college, she set out to explore the world, living in over 30 countries and soaking in wisdom from many ways of thinking and being. Her journey through personal and spiritual growth led her to a simple but powerful truth: we create our world through the stories we tell and the choices we make every day. Later, she poured that insight into raising a family with intention—believing that how we raise our children is one of the most lasting contributions we can make to the world. Today, Carrie is passionate about helping people come home to themselves—tapping into their unique strengths and creating lives that feel meaningful, joyful, and real.
This project is our way of honoring the countless people who’ve touched our lives in meaningful ways. It’s a chance to pause and reflect on the individuals—whether family, friends, teachers, or even strangers—who’ve made an impact, big or small. Sometimes it’s a single choice or a brief moment that shifts everything, and these are the moments we want to celebrate. By sharing these stories, we aim to inspire others to appreciate the people who’ve shaped their paths and to recognize the profound effect we can all have on one another, even in the smallest of ways.
